Nassau County superintendent organization supports Career Couture through donation drive

The Nassau County Council of School Superintendents (NCCSS) is proud to once again partner with Career Couture in a donation drive dedicated to empowering individuals as they enter the workforce. Through this initiative, NCCSS collects professional attire—including suits, blouses, dresses, and accessories—to help job seekers make a strong first impression and take meaningful steps toward economic independence. With the right clothing, qualified candidates can confidently present themselves in interviews, increasing their chances of securing employment.

This impactful program serves both men and women who are in need of business attire. All of the clothes are free and participants have access to a personal shopper.

“As educators, we recognize the profound impact that confidence and opportunity can have on a person’s future,” said Dr. Jennifer Morrison-Raptis, Superintendent of the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park Union Free School District and co-chair of the NCCSS Social Committee, which organized the donation drive. “By providing professional attire, we are not just offering clothing—we are helping individuals take that critical first step toward a successful career.”

Levittown School District Superintendent and Social Committee member Todd Winch echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the initiative is about more than just professional wear. “This drive is about dignity, empowerment, and ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to thrive in the workforce,” he said.

All donated items were delivered to the Career Couture location in Hauppauge, where they will directly support job seekers on their path to success.
